What is Palliative Care?

End of life care encompasses palliative care. If you have been diagnosed with an illness that cannot be cured, then palliative care is the care option for you. It is designed to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Your palliative home care support includes pain and symptoms management. While palliative care is not just for end of life care, you may apply palliative care earlier with your illness during other treatments condition that is not planned for End of Life Care.

At Polly Care, our care team will work alongside the client's family, friends, health professionals including the hospice team and the GP to ensure the client's supported to feel as comfortable as possible every step of the way.

Other care options for Palliative as well as End of Life care may include:

Live-in care:

We can provide 24 hour care and support according to the client's specific requirements, with additional home visits at specific times, if needed to support the live-in carer with your care.

Respite Care:

If the usual carer or family member needs to take a short break, in emergency situations or to attend a special occasions we can support you with emergency care until circumstances get back to normal.
